Be anti-anti-CRT; in other words, teach truth.
The history of the United States is the history of racism. It’s the history of the constant evolution of a constructed idea of whiteness and racial hierarchy.
In a way, the anti-CRT movement, which seeks to censor classroom conversations about the ongoing struggle for freedom and full human rights for people of color in this country, has always been with us.
The antidote, according to Black Archives of Mid-America Executive Director Carmaletta Williams, Ph.D., is to simply tell the truth.
